Are we seeing a Rigged Ballot.........Again ?

Last time under the control of the BID Consultants, The Means, we saw businesses did not receive ballot papers, and despite an appeal, this was deemed acceptable by Welsh Government.

Today, Advancing Aberystwyth, despite being the YES voice, are the group that has put the ballot list together ( how can this be democratic ) and handed it to the Council, who have passed this on to CIVICA, who have sent out Notification of Ballot and shortly, the Ballot paper.

It is alarming that so many businesses have NOT received the Notice of Ballot and Advancing Aberystwyth are stating, "nothing to do with us, speak to the Council !" Wiping their hands of all responsibility for a fair and democratic process, being in total control of the ballot list and clearly able to manipulate this to suit their end goal.

How can businesses who have received levy invoices, levy reminders, demand notices and Court Summons over the past four and a half years, all to the same addresses, now all of a sudden not receive the all important ballot information ?

So over to Ceredigion County Council, as you are the official body legally entitled to hold a tax ballot, it is now up to you to ensure EVERY business entitled to vote RECEIVES A BALLOT PAPER.

What checks have you carried out to ensure the list handed to you from Advancing Aberystwyth is FULL and INCLUSIVE of all ?

If you cannot be 100% certain that a fair, democratic and fully inclusive ballot is going to place, you MUST suspend this ballot with immediate effect until such time that you are sure every business will receive a vote.

( The CIVICA process for a "Lost" Ballot Paper is far too long winded and does not assure a replacement ballot paper will be received / returned before the end of the ballot )
