The Advancing Aberystwyth BID Directors are complicit in ballot rigging.
We could keep showing examples of the Ballot Rigging and show how Advancing Aberystwyth have illegally tried to manipulate the outcome of ballot, but we would be here for some time.
The examples given in the last few days, clearly show that addresses have been changed without authorisation, but who did it?" Are the whole Board of Directors responsible or is this just the action of a few?
So many BID Ballots have low turnouts, so we suspect the tactic of altering addresses for ballot papers is common amongst most BIDs and Advancing Aberystwyth have been led by British BID in order to get a win.
The Board Directors are fully aware of what has gone on but cannot defend the actions as they are either party to them or they simply protecting others.
Advancing Aberystwyth are NOT Governed, they do NOT follow legislation and all members, Directors and paid staff are accountable for what we are witnessing here.
Businesses need to ask Advancing Aberystwyth some serious questions. Such as why did you deliberately change my address so I wouldn't receive my Ballot paper?
And it seems the Council are just as culpable …..
We are only a few days away from the result of the ballot being announced, and despite providing substantial amounts of evidence to Ceredigion County Council to prove ballot rigging / manipulation by Advancing Aberystwyth, which went unchecked by CCC, they deem there is no case to answer to.
It is appalling to see that Ceredigion County Council are simply going to pass this off as acceptable and deem that the ballot process has been fair and democratic.
Regardless of which way this vote goes, it is hard to ignore the actions that have taken place throughout by CCC and Advancing Aberystwyth and these need to be answered and the relevant people need to be held accountable.
There is an appeal process but as we saw last time, this is pretty much a Government tick box exercise and will most certainly deny any wrong doing, just as CCC are doing today.
I stand by my claims of ballot rigging, despite what legal threats are coming my way, as I am simply standing up for the businesses of Aberystwyth who want and must have a fair and democratic ballot, which so far we are being denied.
Hopefully Thursday brings the right result regardless of what has taken place and will clearly show how much the businesses of Aberystwyth want another 5 year term.
