Unfair enforcement of the BID tax?!

The Council with the BID have the power of write off for any levy bill they feel fit, after all they admit themselves they’ve never collected all of the levy any year, so they decide what bills to pursue through court and/or write off.

But we are wondering what a business has to do (or be), for them to be gracious enough to let off one business paying, but not another?

Just look at the names in the list (see image and this is just a snapshot). Is it fair that Bailiffs harass small business owners for payment, but larger businesses are let off? Well, this is exactly what seems to have been happening.

We have a list of every levy payment made to the Council the past 5 years so are pretty sure of our findings based on this data provided by Somerset Council. But just in case there are any inaccuracies in the data received, we invite BID or the businesses themselves to correct us, otherwise all we can say is how disgusted we are. You can even bet being let off the levy buys BID a yes vote!

Also remember that the Council and their Councillors are complicit in this. We really don’t understand how all the Councillors are standing by letting this corruption happen under their noses, they really don’t care do they?

It’s also another example of how unfair and unjust BID is.
