BID Manager doesn't want feedback from the businesses.
Interesting BID group chat yesterday, mixed emotions as there was both sadness and anger, but what was really shocking was Karen's (the BID Manager), arrogance and ignorance towards us levy payers, the people / her clients paying her wages.
Really couldn’t believe she said I don’t want to hear any moans or criticisms or I will remove people from or close the group!
As the BID Manager she clearly isn’t interested in the opinions of us levy payers, she is paid to deliver the BID for the Board, and that should mean engaging with us, good and bad. But it’s very clear that we are not allowed to criticise it or moan about the service we are getting from BID as they don't want to try to do things better.
She doesn’t bother coming around to businesses to chat so should be pleased people are giving feedback and criticisms. Professional companies and their staff delivering a service for their customers listen and strive to improve, but evidently after 5 years of BID they have no intention of changing, it’s clear for all.
Karen is sat up there in WSM and clearly doesn’t care as long as she collects her fat consultancy fees, and it's quite ironic really that she is a "PR professional". As an aside, even her 1 year social media contract which ended before Christmas wasn’t immediately renewed to the end of the BID term, that speaks volumes by itself. But our criticism isn't aimed at just Karen, many have found the Chairman no better.
Some people have been reticent to speak up against the BID, but there’s only so much people can take from the BID people arrogantly extorting our hard earned cash.
Strength is in numbers and discontent with the BID is growing stronger by the day, BID only have themselves to blame by losing the support of voters.
